I was born and raised in the small town of Altamont, IL.   I grew up watching Bob Ross on T.V. and always wished that I could paint!  Not long after graduating from high school, I married and started a family.  My husband joined the Army and we were stationed in Fort Polk, LA.  I received my very first Bob Ross Master Kit for Christmas and painted for the first time!  I loved it so much that I never stopped.

 

My mother-In-Law was transferred to Grand Haven, MI. years ago with a job.  We had been up here to visit her on several occasions and knew we wanted to eventually live here.  So after my husband retired from the Army we decided to make the move.

 

Once we were settled in I started looking for a Bob Ross Certified Instructor.  At the time there were none within a driving distance.  So after some consideration I decided to sign up and become an Instructor myself.  I am so glad I did too!  I have met so many wonderful people throughout this experience.  I have also learned so much.

 

 

I am now certified in the landscape and floral techniques.  In the future I will be certified in the wildlife and portrait techniques.  My goal is to be a teacher trainer with the company!
